Things have been crazy busy, as usual, but in the midst of life happening all around us, Honeybee and I got to spend some nice relaxing days at home together last week. Hubby went to a teaching conference in Long Beach for a few days so I decided to take time off work to enjoy my sweet baby. Usually when I'm home with Chelsea I get caught up in doing laundry and other random house projects even though all I want to do is take her to the park or play princesses for hours. But last week I knew we had a few days alone so I wasn't as concerned about keeping the house spotless.
If you know me you know I don't cook much but I love baking. Unfortunately, I love baking cookies, cupcakes, breads, and other pastries that are too delicious to avoid eating way too much of. Lately, Honeybee has been mimicking me or following me around (which I totally love!) so I let her help me bake. Her favorite part? Watching the KitchenAid spin all the ingredients together. When that's not happening she'd rather pull all her sippy cups out of the cupboards and chew on random parts of them. She gets away with it because she's so darned cute.

Helping Mommy in the kitchen |
Since last week was Valentine's I made some pinterest-inspired conversation heart sugar cookies. Instead of having them say be mine or i love you I wrote all of Chelsea's favorite words on them. As you can see, Hi is her favorite word. She's so friendly. :) I brought the cookies to her daycare's Valentine's Day party and they were a hit.

Chelsea pronounces milk as nook. So cute. |
Of course after all the baking and decorating and partying Chelsea was ready for her own cookie. Mmmm...

Cookie time in her valentine's dress |
While she can keep me going all day long, I am still loving every minute of being her mommy. We are working on a baby brother or sister for her but until then, I want to cherish all the one-on-one time we get to have.
