Christmas Review and Hello 2013!

Wow. Where does the time go??? Why on earth does it take me three weeks to download pictures from my camera so I can update my blog?

Christmas was pretty amazing. Honeybee wasn't too impressed by the Christmas tree, or Santa (oh geez, why did I think taking her to the mall santa was a good idea?), or presents though. Yeah, she played with some of the Christmas tree ornaments and pushed presents around the living room, but overall she didn't really seem to know what was going on. Maybe next year. She was still a complete joy to watch. She had fun tearing into a few gifts, playing with empty boxes, and demanding we open her toys as soon as possible. But I mean, compared to last year when we would open presents in 20 minute intervals when she was awake, this year was awesome.

We had a nice pre-Christmas dinner with my parents. Got to open presents and have a leisurely breakfast on Christmas morning at home, then it was off to the in-laws for more family time. Speaking of family time, it has been getting harder to attend get togethers the way we did pre-baby. It's hard because there aren't many kids at the parties, so things are catered toward adult activities. That's all good, but not fun at all for a one year old. Is this why people start hosting get togethers at their house after they have kids?? I think we will keep things a little simpler this year because I hate letting people down when I tell them we have to leave early. Maybe they expect it though, who knows.

And now for some Christmas pictures:

Mega Blocks! Thanks Emily!

2012 was such a great year. I am so incredibly thankful for everything I have and all the people I get to share my life with. I have some things to work on in 2013 like losing a few lbs (ok, like 10 or 15), being more active, and developing my hobbies more, but I have a good feeling about this year. I absolutely LOVE being a mom and I just cannot wait to see honeybee grow and experience even more things.

Now for a look back at her in 2012:
