Easter and 17 Months

Having a toddler makes holidays a much more exciting time. I love all the memories we are making, traditions we are starting, and fun we are having.

This year we divided time between hubby's family and mine and it all worked out perfect. On Saturday we went to hubby's parents house and had a nice barbecue dinner. Chelsea hunted for eggs in the garden and did such a great job. On Sunday my parents came over for dinner and took Chelsea for a ride on her new trike. It was the cutest.

It's nice when these busy holiday weekends go smoothly and we get to spend time with the important people in our lives.

Now for some pictures!

Honeybee is quickly approaching one and a half. She is an expert climber now and loves doing things for herself. She's a picky eater when it comes to vegetables but loves chicken, cheese, bananas, and pasta. She's currently fascinated by kitties and practically screams when she sees the neighbor cat. It's so adorable.

She probably has 30-40 words now including the recent additions of raisin, bunny, Mickey, and time out. We've had to start doing 2 minute time outs because she's been hitting. I'm not sure if the time outs are helping yet but she definitely learned how to get a time out.

And a little video of Chelsea going up and down the slide on her own. Mommy's so proud :)

  1. Haha, cute! On the second time down the slide is she saying one, two, three on her own?! Girls. They never cease to amaze me! :)

  2. Yep! She loves counting 1-2-3! Almost every game we play involves counting to three. :)
