Ahh Spring. Beautiful sunshine and flowers and lots of playing outside. So welcome after a cold and rainy winter. We have been fortunate to have warm, breezy weather for the last few weeks and I am so here for it.
I was home with Brooke for a few days this past week for her adenoidectomy and ear tube surgery. She did AMAZING and I am so incredibly thankful. The surgery was to drain fluid that had built up behind her ears and was causing significant hearing loss. With the tubes in and fluid drained you can already tell her hearing has improved. The best part? She can tell a difference!
On my days off work, I keep my style pretty casual. I love denim, solid color tanks or graphic tees, sandals, and of course a great pair of sunglasses. These white heart sunglasses are fun for me and the girls and are my first choice when running to the park. They are also perfect for hanging out at the pool.
I'm loving the button fly trend and these white jeans deliver. Fitted but plenty of stretch to stay comfortable, and not see through at all. Easy to dress up or down which makes them a winner for me. I got them in a size 4 which is true to size for me.
This graphic tee is fun, comfy, and SO true. As hard as I try, with three kids and a laundry list of activities, birthday parties, and errands to run, I am constantly on the go. After reading the reviews online, I decided to order a size up but it's pretty big and think I could have easily ordered my normal size (I'm wearing a medium).
For me, spring also means allergies. Ugh. The itchy, watery eyes make me feel extra tired in the morning so I was thrilled when I tried the Becca Under Eye Brightening Corrector. OMG it's amazing and I get why so many reviewers call it their holy grail. It totally evens out darkness under the eye and the light reflecting particles bring much-needed brightness. I bought it as a splurge but am SO glad I did, it has definitely become part of my regular routine.
I was at Nordstrom a few weeks ago wandering the kids shoe section for new saltwater sandals for Addy when I decided it was time for some new everyday sunglasses. I love the fashion statement a new pair of sunglasses can make and wanted something I could wear from work to Chelsea's class field trip to date night. These Quay sunglasses were the answer! They are light weight, stay in place, and affordable enough that if I lose them at Disneyland this summer I won't have a panic attack like I did years ago when I lost a $200 pair. HAHA.
Now that I'm set for sunglasses I need to start working on my tan and prepping for summer vacation. We are planning a week in southern California and I already can't wait. Until then, I gotta kick things into high gear and finish off the school year strong.
