My girls

Oh my gosh. You guys. I haven't posted in almost a year again. Although in fairness, this time was kind of on purpose. Instead of making time to sit and write about life, I was trying to just live life. Enjoying all the crazy, blink-and-they're-gone moments that I'll never get back.

BUT, I truly love my blog and I that I posted about my girls' births and developmental milestones. I don't know how much of that I would have remembered otherwise. Probably very little because I have a horrendous memory. So, since it's been awhile and I don't want to forget all the amazing things my girls are up to now, I better write them down.

Chelsea is 4 1/2 and....

  • Has started doing chores like setting the table for dinner, cleaning her room, and putting things where they belong.
  • Is still doing gymnastics. She loves wearing her leotard and going to class with her friends. She's learning bars, cartwheels, and more advanced flips.
  • Loves riding bikes, jumping on the trampoline, playing with the neighbor kids, pretty much anything to be outside until it's dark.
  • Can do simple addition and subtraction, spell and write all her friends' names, sounds out words, and loves being the one with the right answer.
  • Has a sweet and caring personality and although she isn't the affectionate type, she craves love and attention. She is happy, smart, brave, beautiful, thoughtful, and energetic.

Brooke is 2 and...

  • Has been sleeping in her "big girl" twin bed for the last few months. She absolutely loves it and must sleep with all 86 of her stuffed animals/dolls every night.
  • Occasionally uses the potty, but only at daycare. Mom and Dad are slacking on this one... Hopefully over summer break.
  • Loves to play with the big kids but is mostly an independent type. I'll randomly find her playing Barbies in Chelsea's room or playing pretend kitchen/house by herself. Or watching the iPad in the corner, shower, on the stairs...anywhere she can.
  • Hasn't lost her baby voice yet. I still only understand her 50% of the time. She's learning shapes, colors, counting, and ABC's.
  • Is feisty and has a temper but gives the best snuggles. She is creative, strong, determined, and the best little mama to all her babies.

I hope my girls grow up being friends and enjoying each other the way they do now. Even though every day is full of arguments and tears, it is also full of love and tenderness. They are the sweetest sisters.
