My husband and I have been married for almost 9 months and are so excited to be starting the next chapter in our lives. Getting married at 25 seemed perfect to us. We wanted to wait until we had finished college and knew where our lives were heading. I didn't want either of us to have regrets or hold the other back. While dating and during our engagement we checked a few things off our 'To Do List' and learned that even when you fulfill a dream it's best shared with the person you love. And so we said 'I Do'.
Since then it has been pretty non-stop. While the hubby finishes some schooling I have been rather aimless. We've settled temporarily in Northern California while we figure out our next steps and have some fun in our first year of marriage. I am currently working as an analyst while I decide if I should get a Master's degree and what it should be in. Luckily, the hubby knows what he wants and for now we are happy not having all the answers.
In the meantime, I am spending my free time baking, finding diy projects around the house, and prepping for a family. While I enjoy cooking a few specialty dinners, my favorite is baking - mostly cookies and cupcakes but I would like to branch out into pies and designer cupcakes. I also love being crafty with scrapbooking and diy. It's so rewarding to see something turned from nothing into something special and one of a kind. While the scrapbooking has been put on hold until I finally order my wedding pictures I have at least diy'ed a headboard and refinished my craft cupboard. It's only the beginning though, as I'm still wandering around online finding inspiration. And I definitely have baby on the brain and cannot wait to start a family! We don't want to rush into anything though and are in the mindset that things will fall into place when they are meant to. With that said, there's no reason I can't be well prepared! I love reading all the blogs on getting pregnant. Everyone has guilty pleasures I guess.
Well, I guess this will be the first of many posts about my sometimes crazy tragic, wonderful beautiful life.
